NEAT and BlackRock Secure Enfield Consent

29 September 2020

NEAT Developments and BlackRock have been given the greenlight for a £600m redevelopment of the Colosseum Retail Park (CRP) on the A10 in Enfield. The site is currently occupied by big box retailers including B&Q and Dunelm. Expected to be a catalyst for further investment, it is the first retail park on this stretch of the A10 to be brought forward for major regeneration.

Located between the A10 and Southbury Station, the 10-acre site will create a diverse new neighbourhood supporting links between east and west Enfield. The proposals will bring up to 1,800 homes in buildings of up to 29 storeys, a crèche, GP surgery, commercial space and Workhub along with the equivalent of 65 tennis courts of well-planned open space.

Joe Crawley from NEAT Developments commented:

“The plans for CRP are the culmination of three years of consultation and collaboration with Enfield Council and local communities. We approach all of our developments with a view to futureproofing, anticipating changing trends of working and living and building sustainability into the development concept.”

This is a strategic development which recognises the changing nature of the way we live, shop, work and travel. The transformation of CRP will be an exciting catalyst point in the regeneration of north east Enfield.

The development will commence in a phased approach based on the ending of existing leases on the site.
